Plagiarism Policy

Dear Authors, Reviewers, and Readers,

As the Managing Editor of the Universal Scholars Journal of Business and Management Research (US-JBMR), I would like to outline our journal's plagiarism policy to ensure the highest standards of academic honesty and originality. Plagiarism is a serious violation that harms the credibility of research, and we are committed to maintaining ethical publishing practices.

Definition of Plagiarism:

Plagiarism is the act of using another person’s words, ideas, data, or work without giving proper credit. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying and pasting text from other sources.
  • Paraphrasing without citation.
  • Presenting someone else’s research or findings as one’s own.
  • Reusing your own previously published work without proper reference (self-plagiarism).

Submission Guidelines:

Authors submitting manuscripts to US-JBMR must ensure that their work is fully original and not published elsewhere. Any sources used must be properly cited and referenced. Authors should also avoid self-plagiarism by citing their earlier work where necessary.

Plagiarism Checking:

All manuscripts submitted to US-JBMR are screened using plagiarism detection software. This process helps us ensure that only original and ethical work is considered for publication.

Consequences of Plagiarism:

  • If plagiarism is detected at the submission stage, the manuscript will be rejected immediately.
  • If plagiarism is found after publication, the article may be retracted, and the authors may be barred from future submissions.
  • Serious cases will also be reported to the authors’ institutions or funding agencies, if applicable.

Reporting Plagiarism:

We encourage reviewers, readers, and fellow authors to report any suspected plagiarism to the editorial office. All reports will be treated seriously and confidentially, and appropriate action will be taken.

Appeals and Corrections:

Authors have the right to appeal a plagiarism decision. If you believe an error was made or additional clarification is needed, you may contact the editorial office. Any corrections or retractions will be handled following recognized best publishing practices.

By following this plagiarism policy, US-JBMR seeks to create a research environment built on integrity, originality, and respect for intellectual property. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain these values.
